WEST FARGO, N.D. -- In late June, two daughters and I attended a wedding in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grand Forks. Between the ceremony and reception, we slowly drove along Reeves Drive to appreciate the grand splendor of the homes there.
What treasures these dwellings are -- well-cared for, lovingly colored and preserved.
Sixty-five or more years ago, I walked the 17 blocks from the Ogilvies (my grandparents' home) to downtown each day that I could. Now, the downtown is beautifully restored above all expectations.
What a treasure a city like the Forks is.
