The former Sioux defenseman (2002-05) will be out at least until Christmas because of a broken ankle he suffered on Tuesday against Detroit. Greene went airborne after colliding with a Red Wing player. His skate got caught in a rut as it landed underneath his body and his ankle snapped. He spent Tuesday night in the hospital and had surgery Wednesday.
