Fargo, N.D. – A Fargo man is facing multiple charges after police find a homemade pipe bomb in the glove box of his car after he was pulled over.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says shortly after 9 this morning a North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper stopped a speeding vehicle south on I-29 between the 32nd Avenue and 52nd Avenue exits in Fargo.

During the traffic stop, the vehicle was searched and a homemade pipe bomb was discovered in the glove box.

The Red River Valley Bomb Squad responded to the scene and safely retrieved and transported the explosive device to a secure location.

26-year-old Mitchael Anderson of Fargo is facing the following charges: felony possession of an explosive, misdemeanor driving under suspension, possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
