Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., will tour the Devils Lake embankment and pump stations Wednesday with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials, the Devils Lake Joint Water Resource Board and county and city officials to inspect the progress of the nearly completed embankment project.

The tour, which begins at 10:30 a.m. from Devils Lake City Hall, will be followed by a roundtable discussion, beginning at 11:20 a.m. at City Hall. The tour and discussion mark the culmination of a multiyear effort to protect the Devils Lake community from a prolonged, two-decade-old flood in the Devils Lake Basin.
