The recent warming trend means load restrictions may be implemented quickly, according to the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
The department may place restrictions on some state highways as early as the week of Feb. 28, depending on weather. Restrictions are lifted when roadbeds have stabilized enough to carry normal traffic.
