Three people were injured during a collision at U.S. Highway 2 and Polk County State Aid Highway 8 in McIntosh, Minn., about 10 p.m. Monday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A 2007 Ford driven by James S. Johanneck, 66, Red Lake Falls, Minn., was traveling west on U.S. 2 when a 2012 Oldsmobile Intrigue, traveling south on County 8, driven by Donald E. Degroat, 28, Moorhead, crossed divided Highway 2.
The patrol said Degroat failed to yield the right of way. The right front of the Ford struck the left front of the Oldsmobile, the patrol said. Degroat was ejected through the rear window and found on the roadway, according to the report.
Degroat's injuries and those of Johanneck's passenger, Waivel L. Johanneck, 66, were non-life-threatening, the Patrol said. James Johanneck was treated and released.
The investigation into the accident is continuing.
