A high-risk sex offender with a history of sexually assaulting elderly women will be living in Inkster, N.D., the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department said Thursday.
Glenn Otto Walden, 54, was released from the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown, N.D., on Sept. 29, and he'll reside in Inkster on the 600 block of Fourth Street starting today, a department news release states.
In 1999, Walden was convicted in Griggs County of gross sexual imposition. On three separate occasions, he entered the homes of women older than 80 and masturbated while forcibly fondling them and, in one case, making vaginal penetration, the state's sex offender site says.
The site says he chose the victims by peeping in their windows. His conviction led to a seven-year prison sentence.
Walden also was convicted of gross sexual imposition in Cass County in 1983 and of indecent exposure in Stutsman County in 1994, in Barnes County in 1989 and in Grand Forks County in 1979, the site says.
