_ Northern Valley Honor Flight: Sion Lutheran Church of Lancaster, Minn., will host a picnic from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 13 to raise money for the Northern Valley Honor Flight, which will fly area World War II veterans to Washington, D.C., on Sept. 25. Info: nvhonorflight.com.

_ Bryce Nestegard benefit supper: A benefit supper to defray medical costs for Bryce Nestegard is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 19 at the auditorium in Aneta, N.D.

Bryce, 9, suffered third-degree burns over 40 percent of his body in a farm accident Aug. 19. He is being treated at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
