- Poppy Day: Members of the American Legion will distribute poppies Saturday at Grand Forks malls and grocery stores to coincide with Memorial Day weekend. Wearing the poppy pays tribute to all veterans who have served their country. The Poppy Program has been a tradition with the American Legion since World War I.

- Easter Seals: Absolute Communications has become active in cellular recycling and is working with Easter Seals Goodwill in statewide fundraising. - RiverView Foundation Golf Classic: RiverView Foundation, the fundraising organization for RiverView Health in Crookston, will hold its fifth annual Golf Classic with registration at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. June 8 at Minakwa Golf Course in Crookston.
