  •   Pancake breakfast: University Lutheran Church is holding a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m.  Saturday at the Ground Round, 2800 32nd Ave. S., Grand Forks. The breakfast will include pancakes, sausage or bacon and a beverage for $5, which will be used to support a mission trip to Ecuador. Info:  (701) 775-4745 .
  •   Live auction: Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 2 and its Auxiliary will hold its annual fundraising live auction at noon  Saturday at the East Grand Forks American Legion, 1009 Central Ave. N.W. Funds raised will be used to support projects for veterans. Info:  (218) 791-9613 .
  •   Fun night fundraiser: The Heritage Foundation (Heritage Village) is holding its Spring Fun Night Fundraiser starting at 5 p.m.  Saturday at the VFW in East Grand Forks. Tickets are $25 and will include dinner, a silent auction, games, door prizes and raffle drawings. Info:  (218) 773-0471 .

  •   Pancake breakfast: The VFW Past Commanders Club of Post 3817 is sponsoring a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon  March 22 at the VFW, 312 DeMers Ave., East Grand Forks. Pancakes and sausage or biscuits and gravy will be served for $6 per person. Proceeds will assist veterans, their families and other charitable needs. Info:  (701) 773-2481 .
  •   Fire Hall Theatre fundraiser: Amy Muiderman will teach a cooking class introducing participants to the wonderful world of rice dishes from 2 to 4 p.m.  March 22.   •   Purses with a Purpose: Girl Scouts-Dakota Horizons is hosting Purses with a Purpose from 6 to 9 p.m.  March 25 at the Ramada Inn. The event will include a plated dinner, entertainment, and a live and silent auction. Gently used purses will also be available for purchase.   •   Park fundraiser: Kiwanis Park in Grand Forks has been selected for Macy’s “Heart Your Park” program.  Through March 31, customers at Macy’s in Grand Forks can donate $1 or more to benefit Kiwanis Park. Macy’s will match the total customer donation dollar for dollar across all stores up to $250,000.
  •   Stewart benefit: Anthony Stewart suffered frostbite over the Christmas holiday and had to have six fingers amputated. A benefit supper and silent auction will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.  April 5 at the Lancaster (Minn.) Community Center to offset medical, travel, rehab and future prosthetics costs.   •   Troop donation: “Authors Supporting Our Troops” is looking for published authors to send original signed copies of their book to the project, which will send the books to troops stationed in Kuwait and Afghanistan.   •   Discount card fundraiser: The Boy Scouts of America’s Northern Lights Council has launched its first discount-card fundraiser called Eagle Camp Card, an initiative is designed to help scouts pay their own way to summer camp.
