HELPING HANDS
- Make-A-Wish benefit ride: The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement and American Legion Post 97 of Larimore, N.D., are sponsoring a Make-A-Wish benefit ride in memory of Roger Ready at noon Saturday at Andy's Harley-Davidson in Grand Forks.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., and there's a $20 entrance fee per bike. There also will be an optional poker run with a $10 entrance fee per hand and $5 for an optional sixth card.

- Team Hope run/walk for HD: The Huntington Disease Society of America will hold a Team Hope run/walk at 9 a.m. Sept. 12 in Lincoln Park in Grand Forks. Registration for the 5K run begins at 7:30 a.m. There also will be a silent auction. Info: (218) 289-2006 or (218) 791-8616.

- Loaded Baked Potato Day: A loaded baked potato buffet and gospel sing is set for 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 19 at the First Church of God, 2856 N. Washington St., Grand Forks.
