The 2017 G.F. Jingle Bell Run "Halloween Edition" for the Arthritis Foundation begins with registration at 8 a.m Saturday at Choice Health and Fitness, Grand Forks. The kids 1-mile Monster Dash is at 9 a.m. and the 5K run/walk Zombie Run is after that. Costumes are encouraged. A "Gallery on the Go" painting party benefit is being held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5 in the Crookston Inn, 2200 University Ave., Crookston, Minn. The session cost is $30 per painter and a portion of these proceeds will go the Narvaez family affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. This family has local connections to Crookston.
