• Nolte benefit: A benefit for Annette (Shervold) Nolte will be held at the East Grand Forks Eagles Club, 227 10th St. N.W., 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 6. The event will include free will donations, a taco bar and a silent auction.
• Lions fishing charity: The Thief River Falls Lions Club is hosting its annual fishing tournament 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 on the Thief and Red Lake Rivers.
