A Hatton, N.D., man was taken to Altru Hospital by ambulance Tuesday evening after he locked up the brakes of his motorcycle and turned it on its side in south Grand Forks.
According to police, Mitchell Gallo, 55, was southbound near the 1600 block of South Washington Street at 5:13 p.m. when he tried to change lanes.
His motorcycle got too close to other vehicles during the lane change, forcing him to lock up his brakes.
Gallo, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered injuries not considered life threatening.
The motorcycle had minimal damage and no other vehicles were involved, according to police, who also said no citations were issued.
