About 45 kids participated in the Scheels Kids Klub event on Tuesday evening. The event titled Camping 101 allowed children ages 4-10 try various hands-on activities related to camping. Children learned the proper way to roll up a sleeping bag, campfire safety tips, how to set up a tent, filter water for drinking and had a chance to sample freeze-dried food from Mountain House.

Scheels events coordinator Stacey Dimmler said attendance for Kids Klub has been good with anywhere from 15 to 70 children attending the monthly event. She estimated that about 45 children attended Tuesday evening's camping session. In addition to Kids Klub, Scheels hosts a monthly Mommy & Me event, as well as many seasonal activities for children.
