If you know of a remarkable animal, the North Dakota Veterinary Medical Association wants to hear about it.
The organization is seeking nominations for its 14th Annual NDVMA Animal Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Animals can be nominated in three categories: hero, companion and professional.
The hero category re-quires the nominee to have saved or preserved human life. Companion nominees must have provided a benefit to their human companions or their community. Animals nominated for the professional category must be trained for assistance or service such as a police dog or a therapy animal.
Nominees must be living in North Dakota and must exemplify various factions of the human-animal bond.

Nominations must be completed on the appropriate form. A photograph of the animal should accompany the form in addition to a brief description of why the animal should be inducted into the NDVMA Animal Hall of Fame.
Inductees will be recognized at the NDVMA's annual family dinner, held on August 13, in Minot, N.D. Owners will be presented with a plaque and the animal will receive an appropriate token of recognition.
Applications can be downloaded from the NDVMA's website at www.ndvma.com or by contacting the NDVMA office at (701) 221-7740. The deadline for nominations is July1.
