WEST FARGO - Police in West Fargo are investigating a reported burglary Wednesday in which five firearms were stolen from a trailer while its owner worked on pipes underneath the home.

The homeowner was working underneath the trailer from about 7 to 10 p.m., and his roommate was inside the trailer taking a nap for part of that time, Assistant Police Chief Mike Reitan said.

Both said they didn't hear anyone enter the trailer, Reitan said.

Two rifles, two shotguns and a .22-caliber pistol were stolen, he said.

The burglary was reported at 10:32 p.m. in the 1300 block of Sandstone Drive. There was no forced entry, and the door was unlocked for most of the day, according to comments on the dispatch log.
