Bradley Boulduc pleaded guilty Thursday in Judge Sonja Clapp's courtroom to stealing a $448 surveillance camera from Menard's in Grand Forks and hitting a store employee with his vehicle as he fled the parking lot.
In a deal with prosecutors, Boulduc, 45, entered an Alford-style guilty plea, admitting there was enough evidence to convict him of felony reckless endangerment and misdemeanor theft in the incident last March. In exchange, prosecutors will recommend a sentence of five years in prison with three years suspended plus two years of supervised probation and Boulduc paying restitution of $448.
Boulduc, of Fisher, Minn., has a long record in North Dakota of similar felony convictions involving mostly burglaries and thefts going back two decades, according to state court records.
