UND student Tyrone Grandstrand has won the City Council race in Ward 2, the only contested city race this year.
With all precincts reporting in, he beat his opponent Tim Behm 321-258, with 55 percent of the vote.
Ward 2 is in the heart of the city's north end, including the university neighborhoods and others from the BNSF railroad tracks in the south to Gateway Drive in the north.
