A Grand Forks woman pleaded guilty Monday to intending to sell methamphetamine and marijuana.
Nichole Jo Johnson, 37, was sentenced to 200 hours of community service in lieu of 20 days of incarceration. She will also be on probation for two years.
Court documents said Johnson was riding in a car with Travis Darwin Nelson June 30 just after 2 a.m. An officer noticed the window tint was too dark and pulled the car over near the 2300 block of 24th Avenue South.
The officer searched the car after spotting a crystal-like substance sitting beside a razor blade on a CD case, an affidavit for Johnson's arrest said. The officer said the car smelled like burnt marijuana.
Nelson fled from the car on foot and was later arrested.

Police found several bags containing over an ounce of methamphetamine, $3,280 cash, 45 Alprazolam pills, 16 Clonazepam pills and 4 grams of marijuana.
Johnson pleaded guilty Monday to two felony charges for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. A charge for possession of marijuana was dismissed due to a plea agreement. Johnson could have faced up to 10 years in prison.
