Grand Forks Public Schools will not have to extend the school year because of weather-related cancellations, the district said today.
The district had two days left to make up from cancellations on March 31 and April 1.
Gov. Jack Dalrymple approved the district's storm forgiveness waiver, which stated the district had exhausted all its eligible and potential instructional days for the rest of the year, according to the district.
The last day of school will be May 23.
