The Grand Forks School Board Monday opted to keep board member pay at $4,000 per year.
In recent years, the board has annually reassessed member compensation. The board last amended the amount in 2011.
No discussion was held at the meeting about compensation, and no motion was made to change it.
The district pays a total $36,000 for nine board members in the city and a total $5,000 for five members on the Air Force Base.
In the meeting's agenda packet, the district provided a comparison in pay among larger districts.

Grand Forks pays more than districts in West Fargo and Minot-a total $33,110 for seven members and $24,000 for five members, respectively-but less than Fargo, which pays $108,000 for nine members.
Compared with other city and county officials in Grand Forks, board members are paid less. For seven city council members, the city pays a total $98,700 for the year, or $14,100 per member. The county pays at least $89,430 for five board members-or $17,886 each-and they can take an optional retirement plan, according to School District documents.
The Grand Forks Park District pays $3,000 to each of its five members, who also have access to free district activities.
