Why are you seeking a seat on the School Board?

My two children are graduates of the Grand Forks School system (Central HS). I believe that the GF School system is a great system and I would like to contribute for the improvement of the system.

What is the biggest issue the School Board is facing, in your opinion?

As the population increases to the south, serving those students while still meeting the needs system wide.

How would you deal with or approach that issue?

There will need to be discussion about school boundaries, transportation issues and utilization of existing buildings.

Are School District resources being used to maximum efficiency? What, if any, improvements would you explore or recommend?

Direct more resources to new American students to maximize teacher efficiency as these new students are integrated into the system.

What is your ideal classroom size, and why?

18- 22 With classroom sizes greater than this the teacher's effectiveness diminishes and students will fall behind.
