Grand Forks Salvation Army prepares to donate back-to-school supplies

The Grand Forks Salvation Army said it is holding its "Back to School" event starting Monday.The Salvation Army annually gives donated and store-bought school supply items to kindergarten through 12th grade students in need. Last year, the group said, it helped 449 students. Low to moderate-income households in need of assistance for students may sign up from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday to July 11 at The Salvation Army, 1600 University Ave. Those with questions should call the group at (701) 775-2597.
