GRAFTON, N.D. -- A Grand Forks rink will compete for one of the spots at the upcoming USA Curling National Championships as Grafton will host this weekend's National Women's Challenge Round.
Nine teams will compete for six spots in the upcoming Nationals.
The four-sheet Grafton Curling Club is the site for the nine women's teams competing for the final six Nationals berths. That competition gets underway Friday.
The five-women Grand Forks rink is comprised of Abigayle Lindgren, Emily Lindgren, Madeleine Shaft, Katie Sigurdson and Kelsey Colwell.
The nine teams that will compete this weekend will come from Washington, New York, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Philadelphia.

Curling begins tonight. The Grand Forks rink is scheduled to compete tonight at 7 against the California entrant.
Four teams already have qualified for the women's Nationals. The competition wraps up Sunday.
