Grand Forks police did not have two home invasion suspects in custody as of Friday, but a department spokesman said they are following strong leads.

Lt. Derik Zimmel said investigators do have persons of interest in the crime, which occurred just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday on the 2400 block of Glenwood Drive.

Residents reported a man claiming to be from a local business had knocked on their door and said he was looking for a customer, according to a new release.

When one resident opened the door, two men entered the home and held the residents at gunpoint until they turned over an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said Thursday night they were searching for two men. The first is possibly a black male of stocky, muscular build; the other is possibly a thin Hispanic male, taller than the other suspect.
