The Grand Forks Planning and Zoning Commission tabled a proposal Wednesday that would allow storage units at 2300 47th Ave. S. after residents have continued to protest the request.

When the rezoning request was first brought up in April, residents’ concerns included increased traffic and lower property values due to the appearance of storage units.

Since then there has been a neighborhood meeting for more information, but residents who attended the Planning and Zoning meeting Wednesday said they still have not received enough information on the project from landowner Guy Useldinger.

Resident Chuck Adams said he had 108 signatures against the proposal for rezoning.

The commission tabled the storage unit proposal indefinitely, meaning it will not be rescheduled to return to the commission until there is more information.
