Grand Forks Mayor Mike Brown's State of the City address, the 14th in a series of annual speeches he started during his first term, is slated for Feb. 24 at the Alerus Center.
Co-hosted by the city and the local Chamber, the event is an annual chance for the mayor to discuss city successes and chart its path for the future.
"He wants to talk the opportunity to report on what's been going on in the last year, particularly some of the great work of the city departments and city staff," said Pete Haga, a government and community relations officer with the city.
An 11 a.m. meet-and-greet with the mayor is scheduled to precede his 11:30 a.m. speech.
The mayor will deliver the address in the midst of a campaign to win re-election for a fifth four-year term in June. He is challenged by Ward 1 City Council member Terry Bjerke, who has served on and off the council since 2000.
