CROOKSTON-A Grand Forks man pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Polk County District Court to two counts of criminal sexual conduct involving a minor.

George Robert Lyons, 35, was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, both felonies .

The charges stem from claims he had oral sex and inappropriately touched a child under age 16 on Jan. 20, 2014, at an East Grand Forks residence, according to court documents.

Lyons faces 12 to 30 years in prison with a $40,000 fine for the first-degree charge.

Lyons' next court appearance is 9 a.m. March 8.
