HILLSBORO, N.D. -- Authorities have identified a Grand Forks man killed in a rollover crash early Sunday north of Hillsboro.
Harold Weivoda was killed when the pickup he was riding in entered the median on Interstate 29, 10 miles north of Hillsboro, and rolled, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. He was 73.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at 1 a.m. Sunday, where they found a 1995 Ford pickup with a trailer had rolled into the median, according to a news release from the Highway Patrol.
The driver, 59-year-old William Sand of Grand Forks, was northbound on the interstate on his way home from Minneapolis when he lost control of the pickup, the release stated. The truck entered the median, became disconnected from the trailer and rolled.
