A Grand Forks man was sentenced on Wednesday to 18 years in prison for continuous sexual abuse of a child.
Ivan Robert Longtine sexually abused a girl from 2005 until 2011 in Grand Forks. The girl was 6 when the abuse started. The abuse continued until she was 12. Longtine faced a maximum penalty of life in prison.
He will have to register as a sex offender and is prohibited from contact with the victim.
