HILLSBORO, N.D.-A Grand Forks man has died in an early Sunday morning rollover crash in Traill County.

Emergency responders were sent at 1 a.m. to 10 miles north of Hillsboro on Interstate 29, where a 1995 Ford pickup with a trailer had rolled into the median, according to a news release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol. A 59-year-old male driver from Grand Forks was northbound on the interstate on his way home from Minneapolis when he lost control of the pickup, the release stated.

After entering the median, the trailer became disconnected and the pickup rolled onto its top before coming to rest, officers said in the release.

A 73-year-old male passenger in the pickup died at the scene. The driver was airlifted to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Both men were wearing seat belts.
