A 27-year-old Grand Forks man was arrested today in connection with a stabbing Thursday in which an East Grand Forks man was injured.
Richard Aaron Berg was arrested on an aggravated assault charge, according to the Grand Forks Police Department.
The victim, Joshua Tody, 27, East Grand Forks, was taken to Altru Hospital, where he was treated and then released, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
According to the report, police were called to the lot of Grand Cities Mall at 5:53 p.m. Thursday, after a disturbance had been reported. They found Tody, who was bleeding from two wounds, one to his chest, and the other to his neck.
Tody was treated at the scene by Altru paramedics and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Upon further investigation, police went to the 2200 block of 12th Avenue North, where they arrested Berg. He was taken to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
