A Grand Forks man has been arrested for allegedly stealing packages outside of local homes.
Leslie Jo Keplin, 23, was in custody at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center, according to a Friday morning press release from the Grand Forks Police Department. Four charges of theft of property and one charge of possession of stolen property were referred to the Grand Forks County States Attorney's office for review.
There might be other instances of package theft not yet reported to police, so the investigation is still continuing. The reported thefts took place in the area bordered by 10th Avenue South and 17th Avenue South between Cherry Street and Belmont Road, according to police.
Those who believe packages may have been stolen from their home are encouraged to call police at 701-787-8000.
