Grand Forks Job Services is hosting job fairs from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesdays at its office as part of its #JobUpND campaign.

This Wednesday, the job fair will play host to a variety of health care industry businesses, with manufacturing jobs coming on July 21, government jobs on July 28, restaurant and hospitality jobs on Aug. 4, retail jobs on Aug. 11 and agriculture jobs on Sept. 1.

As of June, there were approximately 1,700 job openings in Grand Forks County and approximately 18,000 job openings in North Dakota.

This is the first time Job Services has provided a rotating job fair of this kind, and Workforce Center Manager Dustin Hillebrand hopes it will bolster participation in the #JobsUpND campaign.

“We’re correlating with the #JobUpND program, and on our podcast, we’re doing the same thing,” Hillebrand said. “Whatever the target industry for that month is, we’re doing a corresponding podcast for it.”
