An early morning house fire in Grand Forks on Tuesday caused an estimated $135,000 of damage, the Grand Forks Fire Department reported.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 3521 11th Ave. N. at 2:38 a.m. and saw flames and smoke coming through the front of the residence.
Four residents of the house who were home at the time were evacuated before authorities were on scene, and two were taken to Altru Hospital for treatment.
The fire was soon brought under control and extinguished, but it caused extensive heat and smoke damage to the interior. The fire department said structural damage is estimated at $75,000 and content damage totaled an estimated $60,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
