The Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corp. will review last year's economic development progress at its annual meeting May 10.
The featured speaker will be William Marcil, chairman of Forum Communications Co., which owns the Herald. Marcil has been recognized with several honors, including the Greater North Dakotan Award from the Greater North Dakota Association and the North Dakota Roughrider Award.
Board Chairman Steve Burian and EDC President and CEO Klaus Thiessen also will review 2011 progress and highlight initiatives that help drive growth in the region. During the event, EDC members also will elect new directors.
The meeting is free and open to the public and will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 10 at the Alerus Center. To register, call 701-746-2720.
