The burn ban in Grand Forks County has been lifted after weekend moisture and low wind speeds.
The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department asks residents who are planning to burn to contact their local fire department and advise them of what's being burned and where. Major Mike Fonder, of the sheriff's office, says there are large areas of grass that could catch fire and that care should always be exercised.
