The Grand Forks City Council confirmed the results of last week's city elections during Monday's meeting.

Mayor Mike Brown won a fourth term, defeating Tyrone Grandstrand. Terry Bjerke (Ward 1) and Doug Christensen (Ward 5) retained city council seats and Bret Weber and Ken Vein won seats vacated by Eliot Glassheim and Curt Kreun.

Other results confirmed were for the municipal judge position, two spots on the Grand Forks Park Board and a "yes" vote on a city measure on whether to publish city payment information in the newspaper.

The council also approved the transfer of a Class 1 liquor license from the owners of the Crosstown Lounge at 308 Demers Ave., to Derrick Kuenzel and Darrin Kuenzel as part of the sale of the business.

The transfer is contingent on the current owner of the license paying outstanding parking tickets.
