Most city, county and state offices in Grand Forks will be closed Friday in observance of Independence Day, the city said.
Emergency services will continue to be available.
Public transportation and garbage trucks will not be in operation. The city bus, Senior Rider bus and Dial-a-Ride will resume Saturday. Garbage pickup scheduled for Friday will have been picked up Wednesday or will be picked up today. Recycling pickup scheduled for Friday will take place Saturday.
