GRAFTON, N.D.-After a short break and a move across the street, the Country Smokehouse is back and running in Grafton.

Dave Moe, who owns the business with his daughter, Tiffany Gosselin, said Wednesday that work continues on the future restaurant, but the meat market has been selling its regular delicacies again since Jan. 15.

"We moved to a much, much bigger building," Moe said. "We did a lot of catering, and we started a year ago doing homemade pizzas. That turned out to be another whole business itself, so we just ran out of room."

Moe said the new meat department is three times the size of the former one, allowing them to add new meat products.

And though he said the 20-year-old business is still a couple of months out from opening its brand-new restaurant, he said the regular "noon meals" remain available now for takeout or eating in the front. The same goes for pizza by the slice.

"We're still kicking around menu ideas for the restaurant," he said, but it likely will include all the regular specialties such as smoked ribs and chicken, smoked pork butt and brisket. He also said all the burgers and Chicago dogs guests have become accustomed to getting at the summer concession trailer will make the cut.
