U.S. House of Representatives candidate Shane Goettle will be in Cavalier, N.D., 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday to meet with area residents.

The event will be at the Main Street Bistro, hosted by local Goettle supporters Craig and Sheri Steiger, Matt and Lori Bjornson, Steve Holm and Margaret-Bjornson Holm, Robert and Virginia Dunnigan, and Darren Olafson.

Goettle is the former state director for Sen. John Hoeven and his point person for water issues. He has also served as the state's commerce commissioner, chief of staff to the undersecretary for rural development at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
