The Grand Forks Air Force Base is making an outreach to clergy members in the region, inviting them to the first "Fall Interfaith Leadership Summit" on Tuesday in the Prairie Rose Chapel on base.
The guest speaker will be the Rev. H.D. London Jr., who runs a ministry to clergy through Focus on the Family, the evangelical ministry headed by James Dobson in Colorado Springs, Colo., according to an invitation from chaplain of the 319th air refueling tanker wing, Lt. Col. John Kinney.
The daylong seminar is a chance for the communities and clergy near the base to an update on the ongoing changes at the base, Kinney said.
The clergy summit is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel. London will speak at 12:30 p.m. in the Northern Lights Club. Everyone is invited. There is no admission cost.
