Grand Forks police are looking for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl Sunday afternoon.
The 13-year-old girl told police that she'd been walking home from Sta-Mart on Gateway Drive at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday when she was approached by an unidentified man who pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
The incident occurred near the Gateway Terrace Trailer Park, south of Gateway Drive, police said.
Police describe the man as a Hispanic or American Indian in his early 20s or late teens, with black hair and sideburns down to the lower part of his ears and a scar under his left eye. The man is tall and thin, about 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches in height and weighing about 200 to 215 pounds.
He last was seen wearing a blue hat, a black T-shirt with cut-off sleeves and white or gray sweat pants and tennis shoes.
