A Grand Forks man accused of raping a 64-year-old woman in her home was sentenced Thursday to 12 years in prison and 10 years of supervised probation.
Robert Rhode, 44, pleaded guilty to a sexual-assault charge as part of a plea agreement.
A police affidavit said Rhode, who had known the victim for several years, came to her Grand Forks home intoxicated the evening of Nov. 15 took her into her bedroom and raped her.
Rhode was ordered to receive evaluations for sex-offender and addiction treatment programs and follow any recommendations. He must also pay the victim's medical expenses.
