Curt Magnuson, 66, president of the Hugo's grocery store chain, died Thursday evening in his home after a long illness.
Magnuson led the family-owned business started in 1939 by his father, Hugo, which now is one of the largest independent grocery store chains in the region. There are stores in Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, Crookston, Thief River Falls and Jamestown, N.D. Hugo Magnuson died in 2003, at the age of 102.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, in Amundson Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St.
