MINNEAPOLIS -- Gasoline prices have dropped to around $3 per gallon or even less at several Minnesota gas stations.
Along U.S. Highway 2 between Bagley and Crookston this weekend, many stations sold regular unleaded gas at about $3.10 a gallon.
The Web site MinnesotaGasPrices.com is listing gas as low as $2.95 a gallon at several stations in Cambridge, and $2.98 a gallon at several stations in Buffalo.
And the affiliated site TwinCitiesGasPrices.com lists several stations offering gas for $2.99 a gallon, mostly in Anoka County.
The last time a gallon of regular unleaded hovered around the $3.00 mark locally was back in March.

The statewide average is around $3.13 a gallon, compared with a national average of $3.43 a gallon.
In Grand Forks and East Grand Forks this weekend, some stations advertised regular unleaded gas at about $3.30 a gallon.
Oil prices fell to an eight-month low below $90 a barrel on world markets today.
