After a pair of empty-netters in the final minute, UND fell 6-4 to Boston College in the NCAA men's college hockey Frozen Four semifinals Thursday night in the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
Boston College will meet Michigan State in the national championship game Saturday night.
Senior Chris Porter scored twice for UND (24-14-5) and sophomore T.J. Oshie, the St. Louis Blues' 2005 first-round draft pick playing on the NHL team's home ice, had a goal and two assists.
Tonight, Sioux fans still might have reason to cheer. Sophomore Ryan Duncan could become just the second Sioux player to win the Hobey Baker Award, given to the top player in U.S. college hockey. Log on to www.GrandForksHerald.com for the results.
