Four people were arrested early Thursday morning in Grand Forks after police said they found drugs in the vehicle they were in.

Kevin Roger Anderson, 24, of Fosston, Minn., along with Amelia Flores Trevino, 31, Rebecca Lynn Gatica, 52, and Zachary Glenn Lynch, 39, all of Grand Forks, had initial appearance hearings Friday in Grand Forks District Court to face multiple drug charges stemming from a Thursday morning traffic stop. Each person faces four charges of possession with intent to deliver or manufacture.

Three of Gatica's, Anderson's and Trevino's charges are Class B felonies with one Class C felony. Lynch has two Class B felonies and two Class C felonies.

Grand Forks Police stopped Gatica's vehicle at 2:27 a.m. in the 2100 block of 13th Avenue North, with the other three riding as passengers, according to an affidavit of probable cause. Officers found "numerous" pills, a "green leafy substance" that smelled like marijuana, baggies of a crystal-like substance appearing to be meth and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia during the search, according to court documents.

Lynch, Trevino and Gatica also were charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-a Class C felony for Gatica and a Class A misdemeanor for Lynch and Trevino. Additionally, Trevino was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor. Anderson also was accused of giving false information, a Class A misdemeanor.
