A Fosston, Minn., woman was arrested early Tuesday after allegedly stabbing a housemate, according to the Polk County sheriff's office.
Kirikia Basargin, 28, Fosston, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after she apparently stabbed 42-year-old William Arthur Kirk, Fosston, at about 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, the sheriff's office said.
Although the Polk County sheriff's office did not say how the two know each other, they did confirm Basargin and Kirk lived in the same house at 208 S. Johnson Ave.
Kirk was driven to First Care Hospital in Fosston, then transported by paramedics to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after the incident. He was discharged from care Tuesday morning, according to a nursing supervisor at Altru Hospital.
Officials with the sheriff's office did not release further information about the extent or location of Kirk's injuries.
